According to Sin Chew Daily, the Malaysian Prime Minister has just announced on his special announcement live conference that from next Monday (May 4) onward, restaurants nationwide will be allowed to resume operation.

However, there are still rules and regulations that need to be enforced, such as the restaurant owner must clean the restaurant and dishes, tables and chairs must be arranged 2 meters apart to maintain social distancing. As for the number of dine-ins, it is decided by the employer according to the numbers of the table.

"When paying the bill, owners must also ensure that the customer maintains a distance of 1 meter and hand sanitizer is prepared," he mentioned.

PM also announced this morning that starting from May 4, the Movement Control Order will be switching to the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO)/ Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Bersyarat (PKPB).

The PM too pointed out that at that time, business and social activities will be allowed to resume conditionally and subject to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

"In any case, mass gatherings or gatherings involving many people are still prohibited," he added, in a separate report by Sin Chew Daily.
