Concubine Lane Resume Operation | Business Dropped Sharply

One of the most popular attractions in Ipoh, Concubine Lane has reopened to the public. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restricted movement order, the tourist spot's business has greatly affected in this situation.

As the government announced that almost all economic sectors, business activities can resume operations under conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) starting May 4, only a few shops of Concubine Lane resume their business. According to Sinchew, all the reopened shops suffered a huge drop in business due to the lack of tourists.

They interviewed a few shops' owners,

Platf9rm Coffee cafe's owner said,

"We reopen the shop to prepare ourselves to get used to the new measures in the shop, letting employees learn how to run the business while maintaining social distancing. We have 7 employees, and now only 2 people are scheduled to work every day, and the business period is also shortened which is from 11 am to 4 pm. "

The owner of the beef noodle shop in Thean Chun Cafe said, they only can do takeaway services, most of their customers are the office workers and some regular customers, they only prepared 100 sets per day now as compared to the past they need to prepare a lot more.
