In a move to ease financial burdens ahead of the Hari Raya celebration, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced a one-off special Aidilfitri assistance for civil servants and government retirees.
Under this initiative, civil servants under Grade 56 will receive RM500, while retired government employees will be granted RM250. The financial aid is intended to assist recipients in preparing for the upcoming festive season.
Anwar revealed that the total allocation for this initiative amounts to approximately RM900 million. The assistance will benefit civil servants in Grade 56 and below, excluding those holding top management positions.
Furthermore, retired civil servants and pensioners will also receive support as a token of appreciation for their years of service to the nation.
Details regarding the exact disbursement date are expected to be announced soon.
