In Japan, knowing whether you’re A, B, AB, or O blood type is more common than knowing ones’ horoscope. Let’s explore what does our blood type meant in Japanese blood type personality type.


A Type

People with blood type A are known to be highly organized and detailed. They are friendly and seek harmony among other people. Yet sometimes, they prefer to be alone because of their sensitive nature. They are also fragile-hearted and easily get hurt, so be patient for your friends with type A blood group to open up.

Romantic relationships:

Take it slow in entering a relationship with people with type A blood group as they are slow in opening up their feelings. So, the best partner for type A group is another type A person! A similar personality would create a mutual understanding and type A couples can share their love in order and tidiness. 


B Type

People with blood type B are easy-going and outgoing. They are curious in nature and are not afraid to speak up. They might be perceived as selfish and self-centered for they are quite bold in expressing their opinion—regardless of how others feel.

Type B people are independent and optimistic. They focus on achieving their goals and dislike people from interfering. People with blood type B could be good friends for they are loyal and non-pretentious.

People with type B blood groups are less likely to get heart-broken over lost love as they could let things go quickly. In Japanese culture — they’re often seen as the most abrasive blood type. 

They are most compatible with another fellow B for they could understand each other’s thinking or people from the type O blood group. 


AB Type 

People with blood type AB combine both quality of type A and B in terms of attention to details and free-spiritedness of B types. Given that it’s a rare blood type, they are perceived to be unpredictable and curious. The AB group is born curious and loves pursuing knowledge in a wide range of fields.

Thus, people who belong to the AB types tend to switch between different interests and activities, depending on their mood and situation.

Romantic relationships: 

People with type AB blood group are best suited with people who prefer a frank and calm love relationship. They prefer people who don’t question their whereabouts as type AB person don’t like to feel suffocated. 


O Type

People with the blood type O are known to be optimistic and get along well with everybody. They can control their emotions well amidst difficulties. They like to focus on the big picture with high confidence – thus was often perceived as arrogant.

They are also viewed as natural leaders because most Japanese Prime Ministers belong to this blood type group. People with blood type O are eloquent and express their thought well, however, they prefer to hide their feelings to prevent being rejected. 

Romantic relationships: 

People with blood type O approach relationships wholeheartedly. Their personality would have a 180-degree change once they are in love—from a leader to someone who prefers to be spoiled and protected. Type O is the best match with type B people for their similar outgoingness and agreeableness.
