Based on various press, apparently Jason Momoa’s new Chief of War released Aug 1st, should be your new obsession.
The show is a lightly-fictionalized version of the unification of the Hawaiian islands—Maui, Kauaii, O’ahu and Hawai’i—befode Western colonization in the 1780s.
Chief of War came about after the major success of Shogun last year. Like Shogun, it is told from the perspective (and in the native language) of its indigenous characters. It also shows action sequences, political scheming, depictions of spiritual traditions.
