A couple recently went viral on TikTok after sharing their bizarre and unsettling experience while on the way to provide henna services for a bride-to-be near A'Famosa Resort in Alor Gajah, Melaka. What was supposed to be a routine drive turned into what they described as a "mystical" encounter that left them stranded and terrified.
The pair, aged 29 and 30, recounted being mysteriously led into a muddy, isolated area in Kampung Ulu Pegoh. They claimed it felt as if an unseen force had "taken" them to the eerily quiet village road while they were driving their Perodua Kelisa, guided by Google Maps.
Their ordeal ended when the Alor Gajah Fire and Rescue Department (BBP) responded to their emergency call. According to Sinar Harian, the couple had become stuck in 15 centimeters of mud at the end of the village road, near the resort.
Melaka Zone 2 Fire and Rescue Chief, Fire Superintendent Tc Zulkhairani Ramli, said that while the couple believed the incident had mystical elements, the fire department's focus remains on efficiently addressing public emergencies regardless of the nature of the case.
"Whether it's mystical or not, our responsibility is to help those in distress," he said.
The rescue team, led by Senior Fire Officer II Muhammad Nur Fawzal Samsunahar and supported by three other personnel, arrived at the location in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Upon finding the couple, the team noted that they were visibly shaken but unharmed.
"The couple was clearly frightened and in a state of panic, but they did not sustain any serious injuries," said Zulkhairani.
The fire department used a winching method to extract the vehicle from the mud, successfully completing the operation. The incident, shared through a TikTok video, has since sparked widespread attention online, with many netizens intrigued by the couple's claims of being drawn into a mysterious, otherworldly location.
