A recent incident at a supermarket in Jalan Klang Lama, Kuala Lumpur, has gone viral on TikTok, drawing criticism from netizens over inconsiderate behaviour in a public parking lot.
In a video uploaded by TikTok user @suzzanneanton, a woman wearing a face mask is seen standing in the middle of a parking spot, apparently attempting to reserve it for someone else. The footage sparked immediate outrage, with the person behind the camera commenting, "She even wore a mask because she was afraid people might recognize her. That's rude, you know."

Despite a car attempting to enter the parking spot, the woman refused to budge. She pointed towards another vehicle, presumably the one she was reserving the spot for, and gestured with her hand to signal "not allowed," effectively blocking the car from parking.
Eventually, the car gave up and drove off, followed shortly by another vehicle. Only then did the woman step aside, making way for the car she had been waiting for, believed to be driven by a family member or friend, to park in the reserved spot.
The woman's actions have drawn widespread criticism online, with many highlighting how such behaviour is not only inconsiderate but also disruptive to other drivers trying to find parking. The practice of "cop parking," reserving a spot using one's body, is frowned upon in many places and is often seen as a selfish act that causes unnecessary tension and inconvenience.
The incident has reignited discussions about the need for better parking etiquette and respect for shared public spaces.
