Although many of his online followers may only know him as the cheerful baker behind viral dessert videos, Mr Ali revealed that he has always been involved in student affairs and is, in fact, a discipline teacher.
"The deeper I go into this field, the more I understand the emotions and struggles of these children. Discipline isn't just about scolding; sometimes, it's about compassion," he wrote in a post on Threads.
In line with this empathetic approach, he took on the remarkable task of creating a dedicated English room for his students, a project that took him three years to complete.
Along with his heartfelt post, Mr Ali shared a video capturing the point of view (POV) of someone who genuinely loves their job. In the clip, he is frequently seen bringing food for his students, which he prepares as a form of reward. These treats aren't limited to just students; his fellow teachers also enjoy the goodies he brings.
Some of the foods he often shares include his homemade kek batik, fresh fruits, curry puffs, banana fritters, premium Patchi chocolates, cakes, and more.
But Mr Ali's dedication goes far beyond food. In his English Department Room, he provides essential items like socks, noting that his students' socks are often torn, as well as workbooks, learning materials, snacks, and even games like Scrabble and chess. The room is also equipped with desks, offering a warm and welcoming environment for students to learn and relax.
The space is beautifully set up, radiating comfort and care, a reflection of Mr Ali's commitment to making school feel like a second home.
"I want my students to feel that school is a safe home for them," Mr Ali shared. "During my childhood, I was looked down upon because I was poor. Now that I'm a teacher, I won't let my students feel what I went through. A teacher only wants their students to succeed both in this world and the hereafter."
The comments section under his post was flooded with admiration. Many users expressed their wish to have been one of Mr Ali's students, with some even saying they'd love to try his cakes and desserts.
Others praised Mr Ali as an outstanding teacher and offered heartfelt prayers for him, appreciating his sincere and compassionate efforts in nurturing the next generation.
