SUV Collides With Giant Crocodile On Highway In Penanjong, Resulting In Reptile's Death

A shocking road accident on the Penanjong-Tutong highway in Kampong Penanjong, Brunei, has taken social media by storm after a hybrid SUV crashed into a massive crocodile crossing the road. The incident, which occurred earlier yesterday morning, has left many stunned and raised concerns about wildlife safety on highways.

According to eyewitnesses and photos circulating online, the accident involved a black BYD Sealion 6 hybrid SUV, which sustained significant damages to its front after colliding with the large reptile. The crocodile, unfortunately, did not survive the impact and its carcass was seen lying on the road.

A viral Facebook post, which reposted photos of the incident, has been widely shared, showing the aftermath of the accident. The images depict the damaged SUV and the lifeless body of the crocodile, which appears to be massive in size.


A video recorded by a passing road user also surfaced online, showing several bystanders redirecting traffic away from the scene to ensure safety. The quick thinking of these individuals helped prevent any further accidents or injuries.

The Brunei-based publication Borneo Bulletin reported that the incident occurred on the Penanjong-Tutong highway at Jambatan Penanjong. It is believed that the crocodile was attempting to cross the highway when it was struck by the hybrid SUV.
