The famous Grimm's fairy tale "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is almost all childhood favorite cartoon characters and memories.

The story tells the story of Snow White, who was abused by the queen (aka her stepmother). The queen was jealous of her beauty after the magic mirror revealed that 'Snow White is the most beautiful person in the world'.

Snow White escaped to the forest where she met the seven dwarfs. The queen disguised herself as a peasant woman and tricked Snow White into eating a poisoned apple. Snow White was saved by the prince. After the queen was given death, the prince and Snow White married and lived happily.

In fact, the story of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is created based on the inspirational story of prototype character. The historical prototype of Snow White was a noblewoman called Maria Sophia von Erthal, who was born on June 15, 1725, in Lohr am Main, Germany. Her vision was impaired due to illness, and she developed a compassionate personality.

Maria's father is a nobleman called Philipp Christoph von Erthal, who is the Minister of Foreign Affairs. After the death of the first wife, he married Claudia Elisabeth Maria von Venningen, the historical prototype of the sinful stepmother in the story. This stepmother is a widow who is known for spoiling her own children.

Maria left Lohr Castle after she cannot bear the abuse of her stepmother. She became blind and spent the rest of her life in the monastery.

For 71 years of loneliness, she never married. After her death, Maria was buried in a rarely visited cemetery near the church, which was later demolished. Her tombstone was then taken over by a local family who later donated it to the city's Diocesan museum.

In the Spessart Museum, you can see the mirror that Philipp gave to his second wife, Claudia. The 1.6-meter-high mirror is carved with the word Amour Propre, which means [narcissism]. It is referred to as the magic mirror in the story.

In addition, there is a road to the mine veins behind the castle. The pits are small. Most of the workers in the veins are child laborers or short men who are wearing cloaks. To reach the mine veins, there are 7 hills in the middle. There are often beasts around the hills, which are similar to the plot. This is considered to be the source of inspiration for 7 Dwarfs.

Maria's life experience is widely known locally, and in the early 19th century, it gradually became a household story. A few years after her death, The Grimm Brothers heard the story from the locals, and finally compiled the fairy tale of Snow White.
