In a tragic incident early this morning, a young man was killed when the car he was driving crashed into a divider at the Persiaran Indah roundabout in Bukit Indah Garden, Johor. The fatal accident occurred at approximately 1:45 am today (August 4), as reported by Sin Chew Daily, with Iskandar Puteri district police chief Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan confirming the details.

According to police investigations, the driver was a 24-year-old local resident, accompanied by a 31-year-old friend. The devastating crash resulted in the driver being flung out of the vehicle, leading to severe head injuries and a broken right arm. Despite the severity of the accident, the passenger, though seriously injured with trauma to the head, arms, and legs, is reported to be in stable condition, as per the NST.

A harrowing image of the wrecked car, which ended up upright on its bonnet after the collision, has gone viral on social media, highlighting the brutal impact of the crash. The body of the deceased driver has been transported to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for an autopsy. The incident is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the 1987 Road Transport Act for reckless driving.
