Have you heard of the term micro-cheating?
What it means: It refers to small, subtle behaviors that suggest a person is emotionally or physically focused on someone outside their committed relationship, without necessarily crossing the line into full-blown cheating.
If you know your partner would feel uncomfortable when you do something, then you probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.
Here are a few examples of micro-cheating:
1. Secretly texting someone else
2. Deleting messages
3. Seeking friendships with new people whom you find attractive
4. Maintaining contact with your exes/people you used to date
5. Lying about your relationship status
6. Being touchy with someone else
7. Social media engaging with people you know your partner is uncomfortable with
8. Trying to impress someone who isn't your partner
9. Having secret friendships
10. Stalking someone you find attractive
11. Turning to someone else for your needs when you know your relationship is rocky
12. Thinking about someone (who isn't your partner) that you have a crush on
Of course that list can change and vary depending on your relationship.
However, the bottom line is, if your partner's feelings and thoughts are not considered before you do something, then you may want to rethink your cheater status.
