Datin Harveen Kaur, a former Malaysian beauty queen, scaled Mera Peak for the second time in seven months, but lost a finger to frostbite.
Mera Peak, located in Nepal's awe-inspiring Himalayan range, stands 6,470 metres above sea level and presents a daunting challenge to even the most experienced climbers.
Harveen Kaur, 44, set out on this hard expedition with a Sherpa guide and arrived at the peak on April 11.
This milestone comes after her summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, as she reached the Uhuru peak at an elevation of 5,895m on September 24 last year.
Harveen Kaur's incredible feat on Mount Kilimanjaro earned her a coveted spot in the Malaysia Book of Records as the 'First Beauty Queen to Summit Mount Kilimanjaro'.
However, the ascent to Mera Peak provided much greater problems. Harveen Kaur confronted the brutal realities of high-altitude mountaineering, enduring temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius and losing her left middle finger to frostbite.
"It was too cold," she said after getting back to Malaysia, thinking on the difficult conditions she faced during the climb.
Harveen Kaur, undeterred by difficulties, has already set her sights on her next summit, with plans to climb another mountain in December.
Beyond her triumphs in the world of beauty pageants, where she was crowned Mrs Malaysia World on September 7, 2017, Harveen Kaur keeps inspiring others with her adventurous spirit and unwavering will to reach new heights.
