Two migrant workers, suspected of being victims of forced labor, were rescued in a raid conducted by the D3 Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Migrant Smuggling Division (Atipsom) of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) at Bukit Aman, Rawang's Kundang Industrial Area.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Soffian Santong stated that these individuals, subjected to 12-hour workdays, were rescued in collaboration with the Selangor Department of Labor (JTK). Upon initial interviews conducted with interpreters, it was revealed that these victims' movement was restricted and they hadn't received pay for over four consecutive months.

Among the individuals rescued was an Indonesian worker who had lost his middle finger due to a workplace accident and was denied proper treatment by his employer, who still forced him to continue working despite his worrying condition. The raid also exposed the premises for operating without a license and employing undocumented immigrants to process used plastic materials from China.

Fifteen individuals were apprehended during the raid, comprising nationals from Myanmar, Bangladesh, China, and Indonesia. The employees were reportedly unable to leave the premises independently, as the main door required a remote control held by a guard to open.

Both the premises guard, who acted as the factory supervisor, and another suspected assistant were then arrested.
