In the midst of unbearable heat, one homeowner's struggle to stay cool has led to a shocking increase in her electricity bill. She found herself relying heavily on air conditioning, set to a chilly 16 degrees Celsius, only to be stunned by a bill exceeding RM 2000!

Rosdiyara, a local entrepreneur, recently shared her jaw-dropping electricity bill of over RM 5000 on social media. She attributed this eye-watering amount to the constant use of her air conditioning units amidst the scorching weather. Expressing disbelief, she likened the bill's impact to that of her mortgage.

Sharing the details of her household, Rosdiyara revealed owning 8 air conditioning units of varying power, along with standard appliances like a refrigerator, washing machine, and television. Despite her usual monthly bills ranging from 1100 to 1800 Malaysian Ringgit, the recent spike led her to consider installing solar panels to ease the financial burden.

The homeowner's situation sparked a flurry of reactions from online users, with many expressing disbelief at the staggering bill. Some speculated that she may have paid a hefty deposit to the utility company to avoid disconnection despite an overdue bill exceeding 3000 Malaysian Ringgit.

On the other hand, some netizens shared their own experiences, noting significantly lower electricity bills despite similar usage patterns. One person mentioned a bill of 600 to 700 Malaysian Ringgit despite extensive air conditioning use, while another reported a mere 499 Ringgit and 70 cents despite charging an electric vehicle at home.

Netizens playfully joked about the homeowner's situation, suggesting that perhaps she owns a polar bear at home, hence the high electricity bills.
