Achieving three Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards and receiving an offer from Cambridge, Ho Zhengying embodies the spirit of ambition among young Malaysians.
Ho’s dream is to make a lasting, positive impact on the community, and he is actively pursuing this by developing an artificial intelligence agent that provides meaningful life advice to those facing uncertainty or feeling lost.

“I have never believed success comes from effort alone, and I am fortunate to have incredible people guiding and supporting me. That sense of gratitude has grown into a strong urge to give back — to create something that truly matters for others,” he shares.
Alongside Ho, 16 students from Sunway College and Sunway College Johor Bahru were honoured at the May 2025 Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards held at Sunway University, collectively achieving 20 distinctions in A and AS Levels. Students from Sunway College were recognised for their exceptional accomplishments, earning accolades such as Top in Malaysia, Top in the World, Best Across Four, Best Across Three, and High Achievement.
Claire Chan Wei Sven received the Top in Malaysia award at AS Level for Literature in English and Psychology. Achieving Top in Malaysia at A Level were Phang Jun Shen in Biology, Ng Ning Wei in Chemistry, Chong Kar Mun in Economics, Wong Yan Yee in Law, and Ho Zhengying in Further Mathematics.

“Let curiosity lead your learning. It is the best fuel you can have. Grades are milestones, not definitions. They reflect your effort, not your entire worth. Success feels best when it comes from passion, not pressure.”
