Recently, a newlywed couple and their family embraced a unique twist on tradition by hosting their wedding ceremony in the morning, complete with a breakfast-themed menu.
Typically, weddings are celebrated in the afternoon or evening, but this family decided to do things differently by organizing the event in the serene morning hours.
The special occasion was shared on Threads by Huda, who revealed that the wedding of her sister, Haida, and her husband, Luqman, took place last Saturday (August 23) at Cameron Highlands, Pahang.
What captured everyone's attention was not just the morning ceremony but the breathtaking decorations that complemented the theme perfectly.
The bride and groom opted for a white-themed dais adorned with vibrant floral arrangements in red, yellow, orange, and white, creating a dreamy garden-like atmosphere.
Both Haida and Luqman wore elegant white attire, as the solemnization ceremony was held simultaneously with the wedding reception.
"This was the nikah and wedding reception on the bride's side, held on Saturday, August 23," shared Huda with BuzzKini.
"We are from Cameron Highlands, the third generation born and raised here. Our family worked together to make this event happen according to the bride's vision. Haida wanted a 'breakfast wedding' so that the event could flow smoothly, allowing family and guests to enjoy the meal right after the solemnization, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m."
Adding to the charm, the family prepared unique door gifts for their guests fresh vegetables!
The selection included bell peppers, cabbage, eggplant, carrots, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, and large chilies.
"As Cameron Highlands locals, Haida wanted door gifts that represented the area. So, our mother prepared homemade strawberry jam for the guests," Huda explained.

A vegetable booth was sponsored by their uncles and aunts, while the grooms family contributed tea powder and cactus plants as gifts. Guests also received colorful bunga telur in keeping with Malay wedding traditions.
The wedding was an intimate gathering attended by approximately 600 family members, relatives, and close friends. It was held at The Cool Point Hotel in Tanah Rata, an ideal choice to accommodate guests given Cameron Highlands weekend traffic congestion.
The breakfast menu featured a delightful array of Malaysian favorites, including nasi lemak, lontong, laksam, nasi kerabu, nasi dagang, toasted bread, and assorted traditional Malay kuih.
Beverages prepared by the grooms brother-in-law added to the festive spirit, with options such as strawberry yogurt, lemongrass soda with longan, and the nostalgic ais krim Malaysia. Guests also enjoyed desserts like tiramisu and drinks such as coffee and matcha the bride's personal favorite from Meks Kopi.
A video of the wedding, shared by a relative named Aina, went viral on TikTok, garnering admiration from many who praised the unique concept and picturesque setting.
Commenters expressed their desire to either attend or host a similar wedding in the future. Many also noted that Cameron Highlands was a perfect choice for such a celebration, thanks to its cool and tranquil atmosphere.
This "breakfast wedding" not only broke away from tradition but also highlighted the beauty of personal touches and local heritage, creating a memorable day for the couple and their loved ones.
