Things to prepare as a online seller

To be an online seller, other than the products to be sold, do you know what else to prepare? Here's a list of the things that you need to equip.

**Please note that some items are optional, depends on the type of products that you sell.

1. Printer

To deliver products ordered by customers, airway bills with receiver details must be attached to the parcels. Therefore, a printer is needed to print out the airway bills. If you are a new seller, you may use a normal printer to print, but you will need to manually cut the paper into the appropriate size then paste it on the parcel using opp tape.

After your business becomes stable, you may invest in a thermal printer. The airway bill printed by the thermal printer will be in A6 size (standard airway bill size), and it is already a sticker, so you just have to paste it on the parcel. In long term, the printing cost will be lower as thermal printers are inkless and the only consumable needed is thermal paper. Below is a thermal printer that received 5 stars rating from about 843 ratings.

2. Courier bag/ Stretch film

The parcels shipped out are required to be packed properly so that the parcel content cannot be seen. The courier bags can be either bought on Shopee or you may also buy from the courier counter. There are different sizes of courier bags, so remember to check the measurement before purchasing. For the seller without a thermal printer, you may consider buying courier bags with a pocket so that you can put the airway bill in the pocket right away.

Other than courier bags, you may also choose a stretch film to fully wrap the parcel.

3. Box

For fragile and heavy items, it is more recommended to put them in a box to protect the products. Therefore, even other parcels are placed on your parcel, the box can play the role to hold the pressure.

4. Cushioning products

For extra protection, you can wrap the product with cushioning products such as bubble wraps, air pillows, or air bubble tubes to reduce the impact of pressure.

Bubble Wrap

- Flexible to wrap any shape and size, does not occupy much space

- Effortless to use

- Cheap

- If the air cells are not inflated, no protection.
