The 69th Miss Universe competition is set to be held on 16th May 2021 in Florida, USA, with 74 gorgeous women coveting the crown.
And at the time of this writing, prelims are underway, with the National Costume round just officially over.

Flaunting the rich heritage of Malaysia was our very own Francisca Luhong James in her impressive 'Kampungku' national costume, weighing around 45kg.
The 25-year-old also rocked in a vibrant, off-shoulder Sarawakian-inspired number by designer Carven Ong. Watch her spectacular strut below.

- She was born with a mixed background, as her dad is of Kayan-Kenyah descendant & her mum is of Iban-Dayak descendant.
- Her dad's longhouse is the said to be the longest in Malaysia, with a total of 110 doors!

- Francisca was first scouted when make-up artist, Gabriel Padan was running an errand at her Aunt's shop.
- An alumnus of University Technology MARA, she holds a degree in Public Relations & works as a PR and Marketing Executive in KL.
- The Miss Universe Malaysia is the proud co-founder of Women Rise MY, a movement to educate & empower women in Malaysia.

- Before the MUM 2020 pageant, Francisca competed in a Sarawakian traditional costume competition & Miss World Malaysia, albeit defeated.
- She has declared she's SINGLE, though there is a close male friend that she's talking to!
- The eldest of two siblings was SHOCKINGLY, camera-shy during her time in uni!
