The music world mourns the loss of Queenzy Cheng (莊群施), a beloved Malaysian singer, whose sudden demise has left her fans and the industry in shock. Known for her exceptional talent and renditions of Chinese New Year songs, Queenzy Cheng's unexpected passing was announced on her social media platforms on November 28, 2023, leaving many heartbroken.

The announcement of her demise was made through an official post on her Facebook and Instagram, stating, "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Queenzy 莊群施 on November 28, 2023." The heartfelt message continued, "Her musical legacy will forever echo in our hearts, serving as a comforting reminder of the joy she brought to countless lives."  

Details about the upcoming memorial service will be communicated soon, with plans for her remains to be transported back to her hometown, Kayangan, Perlis, for a funeral ceremony scheduled on December 2nd.

Tragically, Queenzy Cheng reportedly passed away suddenly while filming for the YouTube channel Squad Sekawan. Fellow actor Chai Zi (蔡子), who was present on the set, recounted that Queenzy felt unwell, complaining of dizziness, a severe headache, and nausea. Her condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to her unconsciousness. Despite immediate medical attention, she passed away within 30 to 40 minutes, allegedly due to a brain hemorrhage.  

Having begun her career in entertainment at the age of 8, Queenzy Cheng's hard work propelled her into the limelight. Her love for music paved her way to stardom, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

Queenzy Cheng's passing has deeply affected those who knew her personally and her countless admirers. As the music world grieves this tremendous loss, her legacy as a talented singer will undoubtedly endure in the hearts of many.
