In a refreshing change from the usual risky behaviour seen on the roads, a Malaysian father has captured the internets attention for his safe and thoughtful approach while riding a sportbike with his young child.
A TikTok video shared by user @mieraaziz93 showed a man riding his motorcycle in moderately congested traffic with his small child, believed to be around three years old, securely seated in front of him. Due to the narrow and elevated back seat of the sportbike, the father chose to place the child in the main seat, closer to himself, for better control and stability.

What truly impressed viewers was the safety harness the father used, a device that connected the child's body to his own, wrapping snugly around the child's waist and chest. The extra safety measure not only kept the child secure but also demonstrated a level of care that stood out from typical motorcycle practices involving young children.
To further ensure the child's safety, the toddler was seen wearing a properly fitted helmet. Throughout the video, the child appeared calm and composed, suggesting that this was not a new experience for him but rather part of a well-practised routine.
Netizens flooded the comments section with praise for the father's efforts, applauding him for going the extra mile to keep his child safe despite only riding a motorcycle, a mode of transport that often lacks proper child safety protocols.
Amid the viral attention, the child's mother also stepped in to share more context. According to her, their child has been accustomed to riding motorcycles from an early age. She explained that enrolling their child in playschool near their home in Rawang would disrupt both her and her husbands demanding work schedules.
The mother revealed that she works in a factory and often has to work overtime into the night. Meanwhile, her husband typically returns home around 7 PM. Due to their conflicting work hours, they have to coordinate their responsibilities in the most efficient way possible, and riding the motorcycle with their child is part of that effort.
This father's example serves as a powerful reminder that even in less-than-ideal circumstances, safety and care can still take priority, and sometimes, a little extra effort goes a long way.
