Thai Couple Covers The Body Of Their Car With Food To Help The Poor Amid COVID-19

In response to the pandemic, many food-sharing projects have emerged across Thailand to alleviate the urgent needs of the poor.

A Thai couple recently converted their car into mobile food-sharing cabinets by covering the body of the car with food. They drive to areas where the food supplies are scarce for needy people. They think this is very convenient for needy people because they could directly take supplementary materials from their car.

This couple currently operates a car repair shop in the Ubon Ratchathani Province of northeast Thailand. Their act was reported by Thai media on Wednesday.

The couple said that the cost of food supplies depends on their daily income, and it generally ranges from 1,500 to 2,500 Thai baht (about RM203 - RM338). They admit that the amount is not too large, but they believe that it can help people in need. They hope that kind-hearted people will donate enthusiastically.
