What is Instagram Reels?

Reels is a feature on Instagram that allows you to record or edit videos using music, effects, and other creative tools available on the app, and it can be up to 30 seconds... kind of like TikTok, basically.

If you're a content creator or someone who wants to grow their Instagram, Reels is the perfect way to start, as it will expose your content to a wider audience through Instagram's explore page. You'll receive a notification if your real is featured. 

If you want to learn how to create your first Reels, here's a step-by-step tutorial:

1. Slide left to your Instagram camera

Choose Reels from the option at the bottom. 

2. Set Your Reels Duration

3. Choose any music you like.

4. Choose How You Want Your Reels To Look Like

Slow-motion, fast forward, or normal speed, the choice is yours. There are six options of speed to choose from:

6. Set A Timer, So You Know When To Stop Recording

7. There's Also A Green Screen Option

Perfect for if you want to talk over a video you've already recorded. 

You can also skip right to the editing tools if you already have a pre-recorded video at hand. When you're happy with your reels, you can post it, and voila! It's live.

If your account is private, don't worry; your Reels will only be available to your followers. You can also check out other Reels on the explore page by clicking on the Reels logo at the bottom of the Instagram app.
