Yumi Cells is coming back with a season 3, and everyone's fav Kim Go-eun will be sat in her lead role once again as well!

In the new season, Yumi finally fulfills her dream of becoming a writer but just as she settles into her new life, an unexpected romance stirs things up, sending her emotions into overdrive. 

The once-quiet village of brain cells inside her mind springs back to life.

Kim Go-eun returns as a more confident and radiant Yumi, bringing a fresh dose of humor and heart to her story. 

Fans will also be able to look forward to the return of her beloved brain cell characters Love, Rationality, Emotion, Writer, and Hunger each ready to navigate the twists and turns of her evolving journey.

"I'm honored and grateful to continue Yumi's story, which has been loved by so many viewers. As an actor, playing the same character over a long period is both meaningful and special.

"I want to capture the various turning points in Yumi's life as she has grown over the years through Season 3. Since this journey began with Yumi in 2021, I hope to finish it well.", she said in an interview. 

Season 1: Follows the everyday life of Yumi, an ordinary office worker, as seen through the lens of the animated "cells" in her brain that control her thoughts, emotions, and decisions. The season explores her journey through heartbreak, healing, and new love, blending heartfelt storytelling with humor and imagination.

Season 2: Continues Yumi's journey as she navigates life after a breakup and focuses on personal growth and her career. Along the way, she meets new people, including a charming game developer, sparking fresh emotions and challenges for her brain cell village to tackle.
