About a couple of hours ago, her majesty Queen Elizabeth II announced the death of her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip. Aged 99, Prince Philip passed at Windsor Castle, after being treated for a pre-existing heart condition for about a month.

Since then though, alongside the news of his royal highness' death, netizens also seemed to have found some sort of morbid humor connecting his passing, to the hit Netflix series 'The Crown'.

The Crown, a Netflix original about the British royal family was introduced in 2016. With 4 complete seasons, a 5th season to be released in 2022, and a confirmed 6th season, the show quickly caught the attention of many upon being aired.

Mostly based on true events, it was rated an 8.7/10 on IMDB and given 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Humoured, feeling bad and all at the same time unsure which emotion is valid, we think it's safe to say in this day and age netizens leave, making sure no stone is left unturned.
