Well, this iconic face by the name, Juan Joya Borja or as you know him, the "Spanish Laughing Guy" has passed away in his Sevilla hometown on April 28th 2021. 

He was 65 years old. It has been reported that his passing was due to a long-term illness.

Dubbed as "El Risitas" -which means "the giggles"- the comedian cum actor rose to internet fame in 2004, after a YouTube video of him laughing in the variety show, "Ratones Coloraos" garnered attention.

A decade later, around 2014, many parody clips were made in celebration of that particular meme! People added their own whacky subtitles, completely irrelevant to the original audio.

His face would later go on to become the iconic 'KEKW' emote, following a widespread exposure on streaming platform, Twitch. 

Since the news of his demise broke, netizens worldwide have been paying their condolences by remembering his giggles that made most of them giggled in return.
