A woman recently sparked widespread discussion online after she voiced her frustration with diners who fail to clean up after themselves at a fast food restaurant. Her remarks, captured in a now-viral video on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), have ignited a heated debate among netizens.
Marah akak ni dengan orang yang dah makan tak reti buang sampah sendiri dekat kfc ni. Tak pasal-pasal dia kena jadi cleaner pulak pic.twitter.com/FnofcQFN2q

In the video, the woman expressed her disappointment as she found herself cleaning up the mess left behind by other customers. Frustrated, she criticised what she described as a "third-world country mindset" among some individuals who refuse to take responsibility for their waste.
"I had to be the cleaner. Truly a third-world country mindset from our people," she said.
She went on to demonstrate how easy it was to dispose of food containers, urging others to do the same. "Please, after eating, clean up like this. It's easy. It doesn't even take 10 seconds."
The video also showed scenes of several tables cluttered with trays, food containers, and rubbish left behind by patrons, highlighting the behaviour she was calling out.
Her comments have since divided public opinion on X. While many users agreed with her stance, others pushed back, arguing that it is the staff's responsibility to clean up in such establishments.
Some users noted that since fast food restaurants employ workers for maintenance and customers are charged a service fee, diners shouldn't be expected to clean up after themselves.
Others questioned the efficiency and presence of the restaurant's cleaning staff, asking why tables were left dirty if staff were available.
Still, a number of people sided with the woman, suggesting that cleaning up after oneself is a basic act of courtesy and a reflection of good upbringing, regardless of whether the establishment provides cleaning services.
The incident has opened up a broader conversation about social responsibility, cleanliness, and dining etiquette in public spaces, with many calling for greater awareness and education on the matter.
