Recently, a post went viral on TikTok when a foreign tourist known as Mr ABroad (@MrABroadvlogs), from Lithuania in Northeastern Europe, shared his experience while vacationing in Malaysia.

According to him, it was his very first time setting foot in Kuala Lumpur and exploring the capital city. In the video, Mr ABroad could be seen trying out the MRT to travel to Jalan Metro, Pudu.

After purchasing an MRT token for just 20 sen, he expressed his amazement at the modern design of the station and described the train coaches as being spacious. He even called the facility next level.

What impressed him further was the existence of coaches specifically reserved for women passengers.

"I think it makes sense because when everything is mixed, and when men look at women, they feel uncomfortable. But this is the best example of how it should be implemented," he explained.

Mr ABroad also noted the design of the MRT seats, which were made from plastic instead of fabric. While they may not provide the same comfort as cushioned seats, he pointed out that they were far more practical.

According to him, plastic seats are easier to clean if any dirt is spotted, making them more hygienic for daily use.

"This way, you also don't feel too comfortable in this seat. Just get in and get off at the station you want to go," he said, adding that the journey from one station to another was impressively fast.

He further praised the MRT platform's design, comparing it with those in London.

"This is what a train platform is supposed to look like. I am very, very impressed. In London, it would take years more to have a station like this. I love it, it's so convenient!" he said.

The viral video sparked a wave of reactions online. Many Malaysians agreed with Mr ABroad's observations about the efficiency and convenience of the MRT system.

Some also highlighted that the MRT has indeed made commuting easier, allowing individuals to reach their destinations without getting stuck in traffic congestion.
