Great news! The Road Transport Department is giving free replacements of driving licences, road tax documents & vehicle ownership certificates for flood victims.
According to Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, there will be no deadline for this policy.
So, flood victims can tend to important matters first such as cleaning up their houses and caring for their family well-being.
Those looking for the exemption have to lodge police reports on the loss of their documents before heading to the RTD office.
Previously, the fee to replace a driving licence is RM20. As for a copy of road tax, it would cost RM20 for motorcycles & RM 50 for cars.
This comes out as a much-needed help to the victims during these bleak times.
