A horrifying incident occurred in Sungai Way on Saturday when a man allegedly committed patricide, leading to the discovery of his father's body wrapped in curtains and discarded near a condominium complex.
The lifeless body of a 74-year-old man was found at around 2 AM, sending shockwaves through the community.
Upon initial investigations, authorities uncovered distressing details of the crime scene. The victim exhibited injuries to his head, a suspected fracture in his left hand, and bruising on his chest. Further examinations at the victim's residence unveiled even more unsettling evidence. Bloodstains adorned the walls and the entrance to the bedroom, while drag marks marred the living room.
It was also revealed that a vehicle, believed to have been used by the 40-year-old suspect in transporting the victim, contained bloodstains on the back passenger seat. The suspect, identified as the victim's biological child, was taken into custody following his alleged involvement in the fatal assault. Authorities suspect that the suspect brutally beat his father with a ladle, leading to his tragic demise.
As if the shocking act itself wasn't enough, the suspect then purportedly went on to wrap his father's lifeless body in curtains before discarding it by the roadside in front of a condominium complex.
Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid, the Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, confirmed the incident when contacted. He assured the public that further details surrounding the incident would be shared in the near future as investigations continue to unfold.
