Recently, Kuhato had played a dining mobile game which Kuhato strongly recommend to those who are looking for a heartfelt game and sticks with you for a long time after the game over. Hungry Hearts Diner is a heartwarming free simulation mobile game by GAGEX Co. Ltd and available in IOS and Android. The game itself is a simple and plain restaurant simulation game but you will fell in love with it because of the awesome and touching story. 

1. Story

The story is the best part of the game and I am avoiding to reveal too much detail here since I don't want to spoil the fun of the game. The game is focus on a sweet old lady who try to run the traditional Japanese diner in her husband's stead due to he fell ill. Summers bring Tanabata, the festival where the trapped lovers star crossed the Milky Way and with the feeling of loneliness and loss fill the heart of the locals. Cook the food and fill their belly and heart with your heartwarming meal, they may spill what's weighing on their mind to you.

2. Cooking

In the game, you will need to cook different food and level up the food to a certain level in order to unlock all food items. There are tons of food items waiting to be unlock which is quite interesting if you are a perfectionist. There are four main categories: rice, entree, sides and other (beverage and dessert) and making combination from multiple categories will increase the customer's orders and your revenue. It only take me three days to unlock all food items and finish the game.

3. Upgrades

There are no customization for your diner, but a few upgrades are available. You can purchase the extra tables and chairs to increase your diner's capacity limit or sideboards to increase the number of dishes that you can serve. You also can purchase the items to reduce your preparation time for cooking dishes and increase the customer turnovers.

4. Customers

There are eight regular customers in your diner and their each have their own story and preferences. Increase their satisfaction in order to unlock conversations. Each regular has their day that they frequent to the diner on their own profile card. The days in the game rotate every hour and some conversations will need specific food to unlock. If you don't have the required food then you need to keep leveling up other dishes. Dishes with higher stars will grant more satisfaction and money. You will see different touching story in each characters as you progress the game.

5. Extra

The ending of the game is ........... you will need to play yourself to figure out. However, each characters will have their own secret wish for their own reason. You will unlock and learn about their wishes once you finish their story.

The interesting part of Hungry Hearts Diner is not only learning the old fashioned culture and cuisine of Japan. It's also because every customers which come to the diner had their own story to tell which make the overall story of the game rich. It also bring fun to the player as they proceed and figure out the soul-stirring and touching ending!
