As reported by Sin Chew Daily, today (May 4) is the first day of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and many sectors are reopening their businesses today with strict Standard Operation Procedures (SOP). A long queue was seen outside Kenanga Wholesale City this morning and this has worried the public as a potential cluster might happen there.

Sin Chew Daily reported this news, according to the short footage and images posted by netizens, showing hundreds of people queuing up outside Kenanga Wholesale City. What's more worrying is that these people did not practice social distancing while queuing up.

Kuala Lumpur Hawkers and Petty Traders’ Association chairman, Datuk Ang Say Tee, mentioned in the report that many unit tenants and workers arrived at 9 am to queue up outside the plaza to measure their body temperatures before entering the plaza.

He further disclosed that the plaza has about 800 units and is expected that only some tenants will be reopening today and that there are more than 300 people queuing up outside.

"Today is the first day to resume work and the first time to carry out inspection work, so the action is relatively slow, I believe that after two days, it will be easier, and would speed up the inspection work," he said.
