A touching moment recently went viral on TikTok, capturing the hearts of over a million viewers. In a post shared by @jimscarter, a man named Jim recorded a video of a construction worker performing his obligatory prayer (solat fardhu) late at night in an open area.
The video showed the worker praying humbly on the grass, undeterred by the lack of a proper prayer space. Despite being in a public setting and on uneven ground, the worker's dedication to his faith was evident.
Moved by the scene, Jim's acquaintance, Jaa Suzuran, also known by his nickname Abeja, stepped in to help. Without hesitation, he took a piece of cloth from his car to offer to the construction worker as a prayer mat.
Before handing over the cloth, Abeja, who is also the founder of the fragrance brand Soja Parfum, made sure it was clean. He was seen shaking the cloth to remove any dust or dirt and folding it neatly. In a thoughtful gesture, he even asked his friend to smell it first to ensure it was fresh and pleasant for the worker to place his face on.
In the clip, Abeja quickly approached the worker and laid the cloth in front of him just as the man was about to go into sujud (prostration). The act, though small, helped the worker continue his prayer more comfortably and with greater concentration.
