Leave it to Selena Gomez to return to social media with a bang after announcing she was taking a step back and keeping it lowkey. At the time of writing, Selena Gomez currently boasts 381 million followers on Instagram, beating Kylie Jenner, the former holder of that title who now needs to gain 2 million more followers if she wants to reclaim that title. 

Silly competitions aside, these two beautiful women are a shining gem in their respective leagues and while numbers don't determine anything of actual value, it is interesting to witness the growth of two amazing women in the entertainment industry.
