Lately a TikTok video shared by @nosuganowori became popular, showing him constructing spaghetti out of discarded Zus straws. It has subsequently received more than 1.5 million views alongside more than 41k likes.

In the video, the OP, Sulaiman, presented a simple preparation by chopping Zus straws into smaller pieces and boiling them in water.

After it was ready, he topped some sauce and cheese and devoured it. His verdict on the dish? "Very delicious!"

According to Weird Kaya, Sulaiman said his previous video inspired him to develop this meal, which he termed 'Pastraw'. He observed that companies have been developing edible straws to be more sustainable, yet many people dislike them since they become soggy quickly.

"I've always loved metal straws, which inspired the concept of 'Pastraw'. I wanted to use the unused Zus straws to prepare meals so they didn't go to waste because they're edible.

Also, 'Pastraw' is quite simple to produce. Simply add some Samyang sauce and shredded cheese, and it's ready to serve.
