PAS youth leader Mohamad Kamal Mohamed took to his official Facebook page to share an open letter addressing Khairul Aming, a prominent food influencer. The letter was in response to Khairul's recent celebratory tweet about securing a few tickets for an upcoming Coldplay concert. However, rather than joining in the excitement, he accused Khairul of indirectly promoting the LGBTQ+ community.

In the open letter, the PAS youth leader stated, "A clean public figure like yourself should not indirectly promote a concert by an artist who openly promotes LGBT." This accusation alluded to Coldplay's association with supporting LGBTQ+ rights. The letter went on to express disappointment and concern over Khairul's involvement in promoting such a concert.

The accusation leveled against Khairul has not gone unnoticed, and the Facebook post has since faced significant backlash from Malaysians across various social media platforms. The comments section has become a battleground for contrasting opinions, reflecting the deep divide within the country regarding LGBTQ+ rights and their representation in popular culture.

It remains to be seen how Khairul Aming will respond to the open letter, although his fans are urging him not to pay attention to such controversy.
