The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced that a series of road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented across parts of Klang Valley and Putrajaya from April 15 to April 17 in conjunction with the official state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
According to Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director, Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, these temporary measures are necessary to ensure the smooth and secure movement of the visiting dignitary and his delegation.
17 Major Roads to be Temporarily Closed
A total of 17 roads and highways will be affected throughout the three-day visit, with each closure expected to last between 30 to 45 minutes. Police will reopen the roads as soon as the official convoy has safely passed through.
Among the key routes to be temporarily closed are:
ELITE Highway
MEX Highway
Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim
To support the smooth execution of these traffic arrangements, a total of 378 traffic officers and police personnel will be deployed to manage traffic control and escort duties.

6.30 PM: Persiaran Seri Perdana, Lebuh Perdana Barat, Lebuh Sentosa, Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Lebuh Gemilang, Jalan P5

8.50 AM: Jalan P5, Lebuh Gemilang, Persiaran Selatan, Putrajaya-Dengkil Highway, Lingkaran Putrajaya, ELITE Highway, KLIA Expressway
JSPT has urged road users to avoid the affected routes during the specified times and to plan alternative travel arrangements ahead of time.
"Motorists are also reminded to follow instructions from on-ground traffic personnel to ensure safety and minimize congestion," said Comm Mohd Yusri.
PDRM has called for public cooperation and patience throughout the duration of the official visit to maintain order and facilitate smooth traffic flow.
