In a disturbing incident, a 16-year-old Form Four student at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) in Kemaman, Terengganu, was found unconscious on the school grounds last Monday, reportedly due to the excessive use of a vape with a 'agic mushroom' flavor. The student, who suffered severe effects from the substance, required immediate medical attention and was rushed to a nearby health clinic before being referred to the emergency unit at Kemaman Hospital.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 10:30 am, and a teacher was alerted to the situation. Medical examinations revealed that the student had suffered a critical seizure as a result of consuming the hazardous chemical-flavored vape in excess. The student remains under treatment at the hospital, and the incident has raised concerns about the growing trend of vaping among students at the school.

Sources indicate that vaping has been an ongoing issue at the school for the past three years, with the problem reaching alarming levels. In response to this incident, the victim's family filed a police report last Friday, which was confirmed by Kemaman District Police Chief, Supt Hanyan Ramlan.
