A group of individuals enjoying a jetski activity near Pulau Tuba, located close to Tasik Dayang Bunting, Langkawi, recently found themselves in a tense and frightening situation when sudden bad weather left them stranded in the middle of the sea.

The incident came to light through a post shared on TikTok by user @itsmeyieen, who recounted the harrowing experience. In the video, the woman described how she and several other groups were caught off guard by a sudden storm that drastically reduced visibility, forcing them to halt their journey.

According to her, they had just completed a stop at the final island included in their jet-ski tour package and were making their way back to the jetty when the weather abruptly changed. The storm arrived without warning, making it unsafe to continue.

The biggest concern during the ordeal was the heavy fog, which severely limited visibility and raised the risk of collisions with other vessels such as ferries or boats. Navigating through open water under such conditions made the situation all the more dangerous.

Despite the challenging circumstances, the woman praised the tour leader for remaining calm and prioritising the safety of the group. She explained that the leader made decisions collectively, taking into account the opinions of every participant before proceeding.

"He told us that we had to move as a group. If even one person wasn't comfortable continuing, we would all wait," she shared.

The group ended up being stranded at sea for almost 30 minutes before conditions improved enough to allow them to resume their journey safely.

Netizens who viewed the TikTok video expressed concern and anxiety over the situation. Many admitted they would have panicked if placed in a similar scenario, citing the extremely low visibility as a major fear factor.

Others commended the tour guide for handling the situation responsibly and not rushing to complete the trip. They applauded the decision to prioritise safety over schedule, calling it an example of leadership under pressure.
