On Friday (13 Oct), ‘sequel’ Strong Girl Nam-soon to 2016’s Strong Girl Bong-soon crashed the internet, when OGs Park Bo-young and Park Hyung-sik made a cameo on the show’s episode 3.

The two min+ short scene sent the internet into a frenzy, as K-drama fans new and old tuned in to see “Bong-bong” and “Min-min”.

In 2016, the two starred in the original rendition, Strong Girl Bong-soon and watchers quickly fell in love with the pair, especially Hyung-sik who was on more than one ocassion declared ‘the nation’s boyfriend’.  

Strong Girl Bong-soon told the story of a girl with supernatural powers who learns how to appreciate her gifts, where it comes from and eventually falling in love with the CEO of the company she works at. The two eventually marries and lives happily after.

Fast-forward 7 years later, when alleged sequel of the show Strong Girl Nam-soon is released, and the married couple makes an appearance. 

How we enjoyed those two minutes, and how we wish the two would star in yet another drama together!

Park Bo-young

Since the series, the actress has starred in romance film, On Your Wedding Day, tvN series Abyss, fantasy romance series Doom at Your Service and as of recent, disaster thriller film Concrete Utopia.

Park Hyung-sik

Since the series, the actor has starred in the Korean remake of the American legal drama, Suits, made his feature film debut in Juror 8, starred in apocalyptic thriller Happiness, acted in a 4-episode musical romance, Soundtrack #1 and recent television series Our Blooming Youth.

His next project: Doctor Slump with Park Shin-hye

We don’t know when the K-drama Gods will hear us and cast the two in a show again, but for now, we’ll support them separately!
