Ever since the pandemic, ordering food delivery became more and more common. One thing about ordering food online is that, we tend to order more than we could actually finish. You are not hungry but you just crave for something for no reason and you even become addicted to it.

1. No Distractions During Mealtimes

Be mindful on what you eat and your portion. Many people tend to look at their phones, laptops, and televisions when they are eating which may cause overeating. Focus only on eating during your mealtimes by turn off all the electronic devices.

2. Control Your Portion

The significant cause of overeating is probably because of a large portion which causes you to eat more calories than your body needs. This is why many people suffer from health issues such as obesity and diet fails as your body cannot burn the excessive calories consumed.

3. Eat High Protein Food

High protein food such as chicken breast, egg, milk, fish, and others can suppress your appetite from craving for junk foods and increase fullness. If you are craving for junk foods, Greek yogurt is a good option and mix it with some fresh fruits and nuts.

4. Reduce Stress

Stress appears to contribute to overeating because stress will raise the hormone levels and make you feel hungry. Instead of emotional eating, you can try to drink a lot of water and practice yoga or even meditation to reduce stress.

Be mindful of what you eat and keep the portion-controlled to maintain healthy body weight and a normal body mass index (BMI).
