Nicknamed the gentle giants, elephants are one of the most highly intelligent mammals to walk the earth, with an ability to feel empathy, just like us humans.

Although their home is within the wilderness, they have been documented assimilating with humans and treating them rather gently.

Take this video for example: this man has developed such a connection with the wild elephant in the video (nicknamed Demok) that they are able to play together like children. Beyond adorable!
