What was supposed to be a relaxing day turned alarming when Annas stumbled upon shards of broken glass in the river water. In the video, Annas can be seen carefully collecting the scattered glass pieces from the flowing stream, highlighting the potential danger it posed to visitors, especially children.
According to The Rakyat Post (TRP), Annas confirmed that no one was injured at the time of his discovery. However, he expressed his concern for the safety of the many children swimming at level two of the popular waterfall spot.
Thankfully, other visitors at the site noticed Annas efforts and joined him in picking up the glass fragments to prevent any accidents.
"There's so much. Can you see these green shards? I don't even know where they came from. This is in Rawang. If kids are swimming here, the glass has to be picked up and thrown away," he said in his video.
In the comments section of his TikTok post, several users shared similar experiences, with one noting that they had previously found even larger pieces of glass at level six of the same waterfall.
Annas took the opportunity to advise others to be extra cautious when visiting natural water spots like rivers and waterfalls.
"Be careful when swimming in rivers. It's like Final Destination," he remarked, referencing the horror film known for its unpredictable accidents.
The video sparked widespread concern, with many users commenting that they would now think twice before swimming in rivers or waterfalls. Others urged the public to wear appropriate footwear, such as water shoes or sandals, to protect themselves from potential hazards.
This incident serves as a sobering reminder that while nature offers beauty and serenity, safety should always remain a top priority for all visitors.
