The worst thing about them is that they seem to have never been weaned. They go to their mothers for anything, big or small. If you discover it during your relationship, you can try to fix it; if you can't fix it, then be prepared to live under the shadow of your mother-in-law, bearing the psychological pressures of the relationship. It might not be a problem when you're still dating, but when you get married, expect to be like him and comply with whatever his mother says, needing her permission for everything. If you meet a reasonable mother-in-law, life will be more tolerable. Instead, if you meet a more unreasonable one, a more controlling one, then say goodbye to your freedom.
