A harrowing incident unfolded on the North-South Expressway at KM 123.2 when a motorcyclist and his passenger was forcibly ejected from the bike after a Singapore-registered car abruptly swerved into the emergency lane without signaling. The dramatic footage, captured on a three-second dashcam footage, has since sparked public outrage.
The incident occurred at 1:45 PM, and while the 52-year-old Singaporean driver filed a police report at the Yong Peng station three hours later, the victim has yet to do so.
The dashcam recording reveals the blue Singapore-registered Citroen stopping behind an express bus on the highway. Instead of waiting for the bus to move forward, the Citroen driver suddenly veers into the emergency lane without using indicators or checking for oncoming vehicles.
