 
As part of its intentions to develop its flagship oceanarium, Aquawalk Group Bhd, the operator of Aquaria KLCC, wants to open a new penguin exhibit by mid-2026!

Aquawalk CEO Daryl Foong informed reporters that the new tank, which will hold rockhopper penguins, will be financed in part by the company's initial public offering (IPO) revenues.
"We plan to build a penguin tank with a portion of the IPO proceeds," Foong stated. "So, hopefully, that will be joining sometime in the middle of next year."
 
  
According to the prospectus, Aquawalk intends to invest RM7 million for the penguin exhibit at Aquaria KLCC. 
Additionally, the company has set aside RM2 million for back-of-house upgrades and RM3.2 million for interior refurbishment at the 20-year-old oceanarium.
Aquawalk stated that these ongoing expansion efforts are part of a long-term strategy to strengthen its position in the aquarium industry while promoting marine education, tourism, and conservation awareness throughout Southeast Asia.
