You Can Now Go For Walk-In Vaccination In Penang, Starting Tomorrow! Here's All You Need To Know:

The process of walk-in vaccination process for the state of Penang will officially commence tomorrow, 8th September 2021 (Wednesday), specifically for Malaysians. The operation of the 10 Vaccination Centers (PPVs) involved will start at 10 AM.

This is in line with the latest initiation taken by the state government in collaboration with various parties, including the Operation of the COVID-19 Assessment Center (CAC) Call Center, Penang Covid -19 Unified Command Center (PUCC), and PgCare Combined Careline. 


Here's what you need to know:

The list of PPV applicable for the walk-in process are as shown below;

• PPV SPICE CC

• PPV Tapak Pesta Sungai Nibong

• PPV Kompleks Sukan Balik Pulau

• PPV Pusat Konvensyen Perda

• PPV Dewan Millenium

• PPV SP Arena

• PPV Tapak Ekspo Seberang Jaya

• PPV Vangohh Eminent

• PPV Dewan Sungai Bakap

• PPV Dewan Serbaguna Jawi


Here are the criteria you must follow to be eligible for walk-ins:

• Must be 18 years of age and above;

• Malaysian citizen - please bring MyKad for verification purposes;

• Not registered/have not received MySejahtera appointment;

• It is on a ‘First come first serve' basis;

• Update MySejahtera before going to PPV;

• Make sure you are not asymptomatic, not in close contact, and not in quarantine.

In another related update, the Penang State Health Department (JKNPP) has given a commitment to improve the management of response time from the call center in order to monitor COVID patients -19, close contacts, or home-quarantine patients; specifically the improvement of the response time from the call center between 24 to 48 hours according to the category of the patient whether high or low risk.

For that particular purpose, here are the details that the public can contact should any Covid-19 emergencies arise: 

1. Operation of COVID-19 Assessment Center (CAC) Call Center's hotline: 04-382 7143 /04-382 7142 (operates daily from 8 AM - 10 PM);

2. Penang Covid -19 Unified Command Center (PUCC) which has been enhanced with 999 COVID-19 call service as well as provision of transportation facilities to send patients to hospital or Quarantine Center and Low-Risk COVID-19 Treatment (PKRC);
