Sungai Pisang Waterfall

A hike up Sungai Pisang Waterfall was extraordinary. The trail started with a stream of river heading upstream for about few kilometres. You would not feel any exhaustion as you will walk by a river the whole time and chances of you getting lost is minimal because all you have to do is follow where the river flows.

The water was quite cold but it was so fresh that nothing else mattered… However the rocks /stones are quite slippery due to algae growing on top of it. That’s where you have to take more precaution.

It started with a walk down a road not to far from the river... We decided to park the cars on the side of the old Gombak Road and walked it, down past one jungle retreat after another until we had to duck under a boom gate, then down a trail on our left towards the river’s edge. So we started walking on the side of the river until we stumbled upon a water plant. So crossing the river and made for a set of stairs 10 meters upstream some time recently proceeding through the tall grass and greeneries . That's where our shoes started to get wet and with no regrets we kept going! Up ahead the imposing Karak interstate towered over us. We made our way along its base until we ought to two long dark twin burrows.

Over us there was a traffic way heading back into the city or eastwards to Bentong and past, neglectful to the experience unfurling underneath. I exchanged on my headlamp and sloshed 50 meters upstream within the dark. Although as it were at lower leg level, the channel the burrows made made its current pulled at my feet. Some of us strolled the strip of concrete that embraces either side of deplete.

What waited on the other side of our leap of faith into the darkness was quite beautiful – burbling shallows, crystal clear and sandy underfoot, while all around us forest.

We continued our journey along the river with no disturbance till we had reached the gorgeous waterfall

and, these are just some pf the sceneries along the way:
