Mekyun, a local Chinese influencer who often captures the attention of netizens due to her proficiency in Malay and her penchant for creating family-oriented content. Recently, she marked the celebration of Chinese New Year by extending her gratitude to the public, irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds. 

In a video shared on social media, Mekyun is seen carrying multiple boxes of mandarin oranges to distribute at Islamic, Hindu, and Buddhist places of worship. Donning a baju kurung, she expressed her desire not only to seek blessings for the New Year but also to share her blessings with others. 

Emphasizing that the essence of Chinese New Year lies in giving and sharing, Mekyun aimed to spread warmth and generosity across various ethnicities. At a mosque, she placed two boxes of mandarin oranges in the courtyard, inviting worshipers to take them, and also contributed to the mosque's donation box. 

Similarly, at a Hindu temple, Mekyun placed a large box of mandarin oranges and offered financial assistance to an accompanying Indian man. Subsequently, she donated to the temple's collection box. 

Despite ethnic differences, Mekyun highlighted the importance of sharing customs and cultures, advocating for harmony and unity in Malaysia. The comments section reflected admiration from many netizens for Mekyun's kind and humble actions.
