One of the most iconic video game franchises in history is officially making its move to the small screen.
Assassin’s Creed is being adapted into a live-action series for Netflix, marking a major milestone for the long-running franchise.
The project was first announced in July and has been nearly five years in development, making it the first series produced under Netflix’s 2020 partnership with Ubisoft.
The adaptation aims to bring the franchise’s expansive world and storytelling to a new audience while staying true to its roots.
Netflix has also revealed the first series regulars for the show. Zachary Hart, Lola Petticrew, and Toby Wallace have joined the cast. Casting for additional roles is still ongoing.
Since its launch in 2007, Assassin’s Creed has grown into one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time, with over 230 million units sold worldwide.
While a release date has yet to be announced, Netflix has confirmed that more updates will be shared through Tudum as development continues.
